About Government Driving Test Car Hire & Pickup
For your convenience on driving test day, I offer Test Day Car Hire and Pickup service to Gungahlin, Tuggeranong and Queanbeyan driving test. To ensure a smooth experience on your driving test day, here are the details regarding car hire and pickup:
Home Pickup: If you require home pickup, please schedule it for one hour before your driving test. For example, if your test is at 10:20 AM, book your car hire and pickup for 9:15 AM.
Town Centre Meeting: If you don’t need home pickup, you can meet in the town center where your driving test will take place, ideally half an hour before your test time, so we will have 10-15 to hand over the key and setup your seat and mirrors before the test. You will also be requested arrival 15 mins earlier before your test time to wait for your examiner. For a test at 10:20 AM, book your car hire for 9:45 AM. For driving test before 9 AM, please contact me to for special arrangement.
Early Pickup: If your pickup and car hire is needed before 9 AM, please contact me to have a special arrangement.
Important Note:
Car hire is only available for existing customers. A 1-Hour Pre-Test Assessment is required to demonstrate your driving ability and understanding of road rules, helping to minimize the risk of incidents during the test.
Insurance Information:
In the event of a crash or damage to the car that is your fault, the insurance excess is as follows:
$800 if full license for more than 3 years
$1200 if full license for less than 3 years
$800 if you hold your learner license

Vehicle Details:
The hire vehicle is a white automatic 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid, equipped with dual brakes for safe instruction.
Pickup Location:
The car is available for pickup from Crace.
Pricing and Terms:
Daily Rate: $165 per day, which includes insurance, maintenance, and depreciation of the vehicle.
Mileage Allowance: Up to 300 km per day is allowed. After that, a surcharge of $0.60 per km applies.
Fuel: Petrol is not included, so please ensure you fill the tank before returning the car.
Insurance Information:
If there is a crash or damage to the vehicle due to your fault, an insurance excess of $800 will be payable.
